Sometimes school is really hard for this little bunny. She gets filled with anxious feelings and it's hard to get out of the car. In case any of you mamas are also helping anxious kiddos, I wanted to share something that has really been working for us. Separating from mama can be tough when you're six so here's a tender little trick that has been so helpful.
Obviously I use essential oils often during the day, so I let my girlie choose a roller that smells like me. Then we each roll the oil on our wrists and then touch our wrists together. We chat about how we are always connected by our love and now the oil too. And any time she is sad, she can smell her wrist and think of me and our love. I also let her put the roller in her backpack so she has it. It's like a little security blanket for her and it's precious. I pour tons of belief and affirmation into her that she is so strong and so brave and so capable. We take deep breaths and remember how much we love school once we go in the doors.
Of course all kiddos are different but maybe this little tip will help your fearful child. Our favorites to use for this little exercise are Console, Peace, and Passion.
Do you have anxious kiddos too? What helps getting them off to school each day? This has been one of our biggest struggles so I'm happy that this trick has been helping.
