5 Ingredient Trail Mix

This can hardly be considered a recipe but it is oh so good. It makes a quick grab and go snack which provides adequate fat and protein intake to keep you full and happy. The raisins add a nice touch of sweetness which most tongues appreciate. For optimum benefits, the nuts should be soaked and dehydrated before using but if they haven't been soaked that is okay too. Soaking and then dehydrating your nuts simply helps break them down so they are easier to digest.

5 Ingredient Trail Mix

1 cup almonds

1 cup pecans

1/2 cup raisins

1/4 cup flaked, unsweetened coconut

1/4 cup sunflower seeds

Combine all ingredients and store in a quart jar. Optionally, stir in a nice pinch of real salt for a sweet/salty mix...my favorite addition.
