This post might seem like a winter type post but in all honesty, my belief is that we should be prepared! That's why I am posting it now before winter hits so that helping your kiddos naturally is on your mind BEFORE you need to pull out these remedies.
This is my go to whenever my kiddos are under the weather. I love to use this when they are needing extra respiratory support and protection against seasonal threats.
The key to using natural remedies is to use them quickly (ie, right when you begin to realize your kiddo needs extra immune support) and use them often! I like to place essential oils on my kids every 1-2 hours when they need immune support.
Kid-e-well: Kid-E-Well is a synergistic herbal blend and was designed to help strengthen and assist the immune system of children. It tastes great and has been used traditionally during times of cold and flu. We use this several times a day - and my kids love the taste! Siberian Fir (formerly White Fir) + Lime: We use this aromatically as well as topically. In the diffuser, I place 2 drops White Fir + 2 drops Lime. Then I dilute it with fractionated coconut oil and rub it on the chest. White Fir is known to be calming and provide relaxation. It also opens the airways to support respiratory health. Lime is very supportive of healthy immune function. I love this blend because it is so gentle for little ones.
Patchouli + Peppermint: This is something I apply very diluted to the feet and the spine. This helps to cool and calm the body.
Immune system blend: This is a blend I make to provide amazing support for the immune system. It has Frankincense, Lemon, Melaleuca, and On Guard. Each of these essential oils work together to support healthy immune function and protect against environmental threats. For smaller kiddos, you can replace the On Guard with Arborvitae for a more gentle blend. I love to apply this blend to my kids every 2-3 hours.
